RIVCHPP garners support from deputy governor and SSG as it marks 2nd-year anniversary

Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP) has gotten more positive nods from the Deputy Governor of the state, Prof. Ngozi Mma Odu (RIVCHPP’s UHC Advocate), and the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Benebo Anabraba, as it marks the second year of existence.

The Deputy Governor, who applauded RIVCHPP for the work it is doing, especially ensuring that all calibres of Rivers residents have access to quality healthcare services without paying heavily from their pockets, pledged the continuous support of the state government to see to it that more Rivers residents enjoy good health.

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Prof Ngozi Mma Odu, admiring RIVCHPP kits handed over to her by the Executive Secretary of RIVCHPP, Dr Vetty Agala, during a “Thank you ” visit.

Prof. Odu stated that the utmost interest of Governor Siminialayi Fubara, GSSRS, in the health of the people is what has informed his resolute decision to invest heavily in the provision of modern health care services and infrastructure in the state.

In a similar development, the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Benebo Anabraba, has assured that as long as the programmes and packages of RIVCHPP impact the people of the state positively, the government will continue to give it the needed support.

It would be noted that in appreciation of all that the state government has been doing for RIVCHPP, and in commemoration of its 2nd-year anniversary, the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of RIVCHPP, Dr Vetty Agala, paid a thank-you visit to the offices of the Deputy Governor and that of the Secretary to the State Government.

During the visit, Dr Agala profusely thanked the state governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, GSSRS; the deputy governor, Prof. Ngozi Mma Odu; the SSG, Barr. Benebo Anabraba; and the commissioner for health, Dr. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh, for all their leadership and huge and immense support for these two years.

Dr. Agala also used the opportunity for the 2nd-year anniversary to appreciate all partners, sister agencies, RIVCHPP team members, health facilities, and the numerous enrollees for believing and buying into the vision and goal of RIVCHPP, assuring that the agency will continue to improve on its mandate.

The Executive Secretary of RIVCHPP then reiterated that RIVCHPP has catered for hundreds of birth deliveries, both caesarean and vaginal, numerous surgeries, and countless ailments of Rivers residents, imploring everyone in Rivers State to come enrol with the agency to enjoy seamless and affordable health care services.
