Following the death of several top Nigerian actors in Nollywood, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) is set to hold a workshop for members to sensetise them on health insurance.
It should be recalled that for some times now, some Nigerian actors have had to resort to soliciting for financial assistance via various means, in order to get medical treatment locally and internationally.
However, the AGN’s National President, Ejezie Emeka Rollas, in a chat with Health Insurance Today, has stated that the industry can no longer condole such trend, hence, the Guild is taking a proactive step in organising in-house health workshop in the prevention of hypertension, diabetes, stress and sudden death in collaboration with Elyon Synergy Ltd.
Health Insurance Today reports that the health insurance workshop will be done at all state chapters beginning from the first quarter of 2021.
Rollas added that before the end of February 2021, AGN shall release the road map for the program.
